2017: The Hard Truth

Desert of Failure

Founder Gáspár Incze faced the failure of his first social startup, SpeechAngel. Alone in the desert, he realized: "We changemakers, alone, are doomed for failure." This painful truth became the seed planted in barren ground — a seed that would grow into Changemappers.

2017–18: Jövőképzők

Years of Learning

We explored state of the art and had deep internal discussions on systemic change. Like seeds breaking through soil, new ideas began to emerge.

Late 2019 – Ongoing: Deep Listening

Forest of Validation

Instead of rushing to build code, we walked through the forest asking questions. Gáspár conducted extensive interviews with volunteers, students, experts, and community organizers. What helps you? What holds you back? The knowledge base was born.

Response to COVID

2020: Crisis and Hackathons

Storm of Transition

A storm arrived. An era defined by Effective Altruism and rapid crisis response during COVID. Jószomszédság (Good Neighborliness) was launched to address immediate needs through community action, sheltering communities from the storm.

2022–2025: Academic Roots

River of Partnership

Activism needs rigor. In September 2021, Gáspár reached the river and built a bridge to Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). With András from the Human Ecology Master course and a dedicated team, we crossed from theory to practice, bridging social thought with digital tools.
Internal Reflection

2022: A Profound Experience

Fire of Transformation

In a self and purpose-discovery group, we witnessed hierarchy burn away. The transition from traditional structure to self-organizing and self-determination was not peaceful evolution — it was fire. We learned: transformation is rarely zen. It's friction, heat, and necessary combustion.

2023: Inner Focus with u.lab 2.x

Mountain of Crystallization

We climbed the mountain with the u.lab 2x program. At altitude, perspective shifts, this time, inwards. "The success of an intervention depends on the inner condition of the intervener." Deep dives into Theory U and prototyping at the summit.

2024: The Collapse of Spiritual Ideals

Deep Lesson

A spiritual community's collapse revealed the danger of "spiritual bypassing." High ideals cannot survive without explicit psychological contracts, firm boundaries, and professional trauma support. Without structure, hidden tensions hijack the group. The dissolution forced us to build individual psychological autonomy before attempting mature collective function.

2024: Research on Talent

Hungarian Innovation Council

Despite limited funding, we progressed step by step. Building the open-source prototype, collaborating with self-organized groups like the Hungarian Innovation and Talent Council.

2024: Strategic Dialogue

Future HOW

Deep dialogue with George Pór, Anna, and Phil shaped our platform's design. A "Map of Meaning" workshop triggered introspection. Pór introduced the "Three Mountains" framework — mapping changemaker growth across an Integral matrix.

2024: IDG Framework

Vertical Development

We critically analyzed the Inner Development Goals (IDG) framework. We extended our scope to Vertical Development — directly nurturing emotional resilience and consciousness growth in our users.

2025: Created EcoCommunity MVP

ELTE Human Ecology

Facilitated the creation of an MVP specification for helping people find ecological communities. We narrowed our lens to ensure our first functional tool could serve the regeneration of the planet directly.

Mid-2025: Systemic Action Research

Community Living & Forest School

Started the "Életközösség" (Intentional Living Community) and Forest School action research. Key ongoing milestones: Launch of the Community Incubator, Operationalization of "Les Pas Sages," and Adoption of Sociocracy S3 & Regenerative Models.

Fall 2025: Generative Action Research

Islands of Coherence & CHI

Led by George Pór, we explored Collaborative Hybrid Intelligence (CHI), using AI as a "structured reflective surface." By embracing the deliberate friction of the "uncomfortable middle," AI helps us reveal complexity and ask better questions.

Q4 2025: Economic Resilience

The "Suska" Analysis

Conducted a deep analysis of the Suska system. The key finding: alternative currencies require a foundation of relational trust to prevent stagnation, leading to our "Love Economy" protocols.

End of 2025: The Technology Shift

AI Assisted Programming

A massive shift occurred in technology. With the maturation of AI-assisted programming, financial constraints evaporated. Building digital infrastructure for regenerative solutions is now possible at the speed of thought.

2025: Mapping the Ecosystem

Network Analysis

We conducted a comprehensive analysis of worldwide change networks to deeply understand global collaboration patterns, helping us build a more resilient architectural foundation.

2026: Ready for Impact

Summit Reached

We are finalizing the Community Archetypes framework — giving communities a "soul" in our system. The MVP launches in Q1 2026. After nine years of walking, climbing, and learning, we're ready.

The journey continues...

From isolation to connection. From failure to wisdom. From desert to summit.

Thinking Out Loud

We document our philosophy, struggles, and system design transparently

Gáspár Incze, Founder of Changemappers

Gáspár Incze

Founder & System Thinker

"I realized that we changemakers, alone, are not enough."

Gáspár is not just building a platform; he is weaving a community. With a background deeply rooted in social innovation, his journey is defined by a commitment to the "Second Renaissance" of our civilization.

Before Changemappers, Gáspár co-founded several initiatives. His work is characterized by transparency, open-source & self-organizing principles, and a belief that technology should serve human connection, not monetize it.
